Burning Soup
4 chopped
green onions
1.5 pounds of crushed tomato
1 half bunch celery chopped
2 crushed garlic cloves
1 large red sweet onion
3 large slices kombu
1 head of cabbage chopped
1 bunch broccoli
7 - 10 chopped white potatoes
Combine all
ingredients in a large soup pot and fill to within an inch or two of the
top. Bring to a boil and then put heat on medium and let simmer,
semi-covered. Add more water through the simmer time. Potatoes will
thicken the soup. About a quarter hour before it's done, season to
taste.
Recommended
seasonings include sage, thyme, rosemary or dill.
